Hi,
Medically,itching is an indicator to allergy.
It's usually treated by anti-histaminic drugs.
There are wide variety of anti-histaminic drugs, and some peaople may be sensetive to some of these drugs.
So, it;s better to consult a doctor.

Hot water. A doctor told me about it about 25 years ago and have used it ever since. Put affected area under warm water. Increase the hot --until it is too hot to tolerate. remove from water and as it cools, the itching will go away. Try it. Won't cost you a cent.

Use either calamine lotion or a hydrocortizone cream. Also, take a Benedryl capsule. It will help quell the itch but it might make you sleepy so take it at night.
