No one buys a Town Car in the NYC area unless they are a livery driver and that's their business.

The new Cadillac DTS is much more modern and good looking.

But the Escalade really rocks! Be a hero to your kid and the coolest dad on the block and get the 'Slade

Lincoln Town cars (based on the same platform as the Ford Crown Victoria and the Mercury Grand Marquis) are easily Ford Motor Company's MOST reliable vehicle!!! The ONLY problematic area, exclusive to Lincolns, have been their air suspension systems. But the good news is that the Town Car only uses a very simple rear air suspension system only. Even when they break down, they are not even remotely near as expensive to fix as the four wheel independent air suspension systems are on the Continental or the Mark VIII (both of which models have been discontinued for years). Other than that, if properly maintained, it is VERY easy to have 600,000 miles of RELIABLE service with gas mileage bettering that of V6 minivans!!!

Great question...I have a 91' Lincoln Towncar and I LOVE IT !! I didn't think I would...my father bought it for me, I thought it was going to be too big and a car for older people (I'm 25...early graduation present...other car was unreliable ). It has 33,000 original miles and it drives sooo nice. I've had people tell me they drive nicer than Cadillacs, Mercedes, and even BMWs. My father got rid of his BMW Z3 to get a new Lincoln LS (nice car, but he still likes the way mine drives better ). My grandparents have a Mark 8 and an older LS. I love my Lincoln !! Hope this helps !

Great choice-nothing rides like a Town Car! Roomy, quiet, comfortable, safe, powerful. elegant, reliable are just a few of the words I would use to describe the Town Car. If you really want the best of the best, look for a " L" model, which are harder to find, but worth the extra money.

if you plan to purchase a new lincon town car there are some awesome customer incentives avaliable, up to 6000. Take a test drive in a lincoln and you will never go back to cadillac
