You are wrong. Alexander was a Dorian Greek from the ancient Greek Macedonia.
Ancient Macedonians were from Dorian Greek stock and they claim descent from Argos and from Hercules. Alexander also claimed descent from Achilles from his mothers side.
Modern "republic of Macedonia" is a Slavic state. It is a very modern state and the Slavs appeared in this region long after Alexander and the ancient Macedonians.

Alexander the great was from Greek-Macedonia. The modern republic of Macedonia is a Slavic state and it is very recent. It has no relation with ancient Greek-Macedonians!
Alexander made a big Greek empire and not a Slavic one.
Slavs appeared in the area 1000 years after his death.
And modern Macedonia doesn't claim him as theirs. They say that he was Greek.
