This dates back to the Cavemen..The Male was tought to hold all feelings in because they had to fight the beasts & bring home the bacon.It has been a long haul getting them to open up at all so we must pat them on the back every time they show a feeling so they will do it more often. It's kinda like training a dog.Give them a treat when they do good.We women have to help them cry a little ONE DAY AT A TIME!!!!

Men cherish their pride more than anything. They do not show their true feelings because they hold their pride so dear. They always have to be "manly" and a big part of that is never showing emotion. It sucks, but if you put enough time into him, he will eventually open up.

Men and women think differently is all, our brains are wired in different ways. Women tend to be very open about their thoughts n feelings while men are more inward and in general society encourages these traits. just because they can finder it harder to show emotion doesnt mean they dont have them as strongly.

I dont think you can generalise.
My boyfriend says exactly what hes thinking/feeling, and did so before I even felt comfortable saying it.
Even in his christmas card this year, he wrote me a poem, which I know he meant. Whereas I wouldnt even think to do anything like that.
Just depends on the man.

Some do and some don't. Sometimes guys show there feelings differently then Women do because we think differently.
