Ah... The age old question of the Meaning of Life.
Here's my opinion on the subject:
Our souls separated from The One, or "God", to inhabit matter. This matter became life. Not just in the way you know life, but all things are alive. Our souls go through a cycle of death and rebirth. You could die Abraham Lincoln and in your next life be part of the Atlantic Ocean. The purpose of this is to learn. Thus, a much better question would be "To learn what?"
The answer is... I haven't the slightest. If I knew, I wouldn't be here. I would have become part of The One again.

A person cannot deny the Lord and still live successfully. Mankind was created to acknowledge God and share a relationship with Him. When someone chooses to ignore the truth of His existence or His sovereignty, he or she begins a downward slide. It's a choice which ends with a hardened heart and eternal separation from a loving Father.
God gives everyone the capacity to understand Him and the free will to choose whether to pursue that knowledge. The truth of His existence is revealed in nature and written into every person's conscience. However, many people ignore reality because it interferes with their preferred lifestyle. Instead, they chase false philosophies, which are usually mixed with just enough truth to make them believable to the inexperienced.
Any "truth" crafted by man is foolishness. A mind that has rejected the fact of a sovereign Lord cannot see its error. It has slipped from intelligence--an inherent knowledge of God--to willful ignorance. In this state, even when all evidence points to the truth, a person can still convince him- or herself that the opposite is right.
All the denial and atheistic arguments in the world will not change what is real. Jehovah is God. Jesus Christ is His Son. God created you to love, obey, and honor Him. If you resist the truth, you choose a life of darkness and willful ignorance. The choice is yours to make.
God invites you to see if He is better than all that the world has to offer. Psalm 34:8 challenges us to "taste and see that the Lord is good." Will you taste and see?

Because.
Seriously, we are really all here alive on the earth right now because.
Elaborate?
Ok, we are all here to get along and love each other and learn how to play nice and share our toys and not eat sand or throw it into other's eyes.
Life's a journey, not a destination.
We're here to glorify God.
God made me.
I am perfect in His eyes.
I mean God to infinity not the God number one, two, or three.
That's why we are here.
Peace.

In a nut shell.... Those who accept Jesus as their personal Savior become and are born again,(Christians) become the Lamb of God, who is Jesus, become his bride.
Matthew 22:2 The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a marriage for his son,
Revelation 19:7 Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.
Revelation 21:9 And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb's wife.

We are here to make ourselves better for God! We all have "life charts" on the "other side" /heaven that maps out what we want to accomplish here on earth! Plus, our spirit guides help us stay on track to make sure we accomplish what we came here to do!

Our purpose is to worship our creator, GOD. Read "The Purpose Driven Life" by Rick Warren. It will help you begin to understand. But the Holy Spirit will ultimately be the one to draw you to God through the Son, Jesus.

To live in life & truth, right here, right now. This requires no "belief" but does require that a person knows the truth of themselves.

We were created to glorify God and enjoy Him forever. We need to choose if that is what we want to do. So this is our decision time. After this life we will do as He created us to, or we will reap the consequences of doing something else.
