Cockatiels are nice but Quaker Parrots are much easier to keep tame and train If you want kisses and cuddles. I have both and the Quaker is the best just make sure to get a hand fed one. and find a reputable breeder. you can check around and see if there are bird fairs there. In the state I live in the have them at the botanical garden 3 times a year. all person bring in Birds must be license and in good standing with health officials. You can get some answers from this breeder that has been feature in Bird Talk magazine several times. www.babybirdfarm.com
Good Luck with what ever you choose they are great fun.

i have a cockateil he loves to snuggle. I kiss on him... The only thing I would say is to get a hand fed 1 if you really want to kiss and cuddle it! The only time they are loud is when they want to get out of the cage
Good Luck with the bird! :)

Cockateils make great pets!
They are pretty easy to care for, but show a lot of affection, love to play and show off.

All of them are good. But be sure to get a handfed or a tamed one if you want to kiss it. Which ever you like is the best. Some people like budgies because they have budgies. Some people like cockatiels because they have cocaktiels. So it all means the same thing. The cheapest one you can get is a budgie(20-30$) or less. Cockatiels(60-150) handfed.

I love cockatiels, I had one for 23 years before he died and I taught him to talk and even sing..and bark like my dog..They are the easiest that I have found to train.
