Hello, I'm in 8th grade and going to highschool soon. I'm in love with one of my best friends. I'm not just saying, OMG!! He's hot! I'm so in love with him! No no...I've been in love with him fro almost 2 years and tried to stop loving him. He was a druggy and is stopping for his health (yay!) and i would always get so mad at him, but coulden't stay mad or anything. So, here's my issue. I always thought he didn't like me but he and i got a lot closer than we were and people are thinking that we should go out and some say he likes me. He changed his life plans and decided he wants to take a cooking class with me in high school and to go to college with me and to even have a restraunt with me because I said my whole plan for college and my eventual restraunt. He had some other plans but said mines was a really good and that he wants to be in my cooking class and go to college with me and everything. But today, people kept saying that he should ask me out, but said he was too young.

He is certainly very fond of you or he wouldn't be spending all that time with you but as to whether he thinks of you as a potential girlfriend, only he can tell you ... and one day, when he is ready, he will.

You're very young. Try focusing on doing well in school so that you can have a bright future. It takes an education to be able to run a restaurant. It sounds like the two of you are very fond of each other and having a cooking class together will be fun. That's good that he is off the drugs since if he stayed on them he woulnd't be have able a good relationship with anyone including you.

I think that may be too much of a big commitment for him to actually go through with, the whole going with you to college and everything. Let's just start with a relationship first. Maybe he does like you but doesn't want anything official. Or he doesnt want a relationship just yet since he doesnt want that kind of commitment yet either. All you have to do is just ask him what he wants, does he or does he not want to go out with you. If not, then maybe it wasn't the right time yet for him. since he did say he was too young, and maybe wait a little more longer.

Sounds like he feels the same way about you that you do about him. He's probably confused and afraid of being rejected. Keep being yourself, be patient and I bet you get what you want. Sounds like you are both young and full of plans. Make sure you don't loose yourself and always do what is best for you. If something is telling you something isn't right, it's not. Quit before things get worse. Most all of have fun, good relationships are work but it's happy work.

work on the friends deal for a while longer, high school is a big step for every student and MANY things change along the way. nothing wrong with taking classes that are the same, but try to do what you want to do, not just because he/she is doing it. your ideas and choices you make in high school really work toward the graduation goal and you should always keep YOU in mind.

aww cute story (:
well if you're best friends and you both like eachother, the only thing that's going to be different is that you'll be more "affectionate" towards him.
if you guys think it's too weird between you two to be in that sort of more than just friends relationship, you can always just be really good friends ya know? *If you both like eachother a lot-- you can always just wait `til later in high school// when you're older. `cause then you can just continue this relationship and just be like "hey, let's just wait a few years til we're older" so then you can still be close, yet have something to look forward to i suppose.
hope everything works out (:

I'm a sophomore in collage. And I remember when I was in 8th grade (what a great year)! He obviously cares a lot about you, and he is just embarrassed to admit he likes you, because he is afraid if he tells you that you wouldn't want to be friends anymore. Don't worry he'll realize he likes you soon enough.

I really envy you your youth... sigh...
Yes, he likes you. If you like him, wait for him to make the first move, but make sure he knows that you are ready and waiting for him to ask you out. I don't mean by flirting. Guys can be really stupid about that and not even see it when it's right under their noses. Just tell him.

He likes you and may eventually ask you out. Wouldn't you feel a bit pressured by everyone telling you to ask someone out? Tell everyone to back off. Maybe with a little space he'll get the courage to ask you out.
