There are so many different belief systems. I mean even Christianity itself has dozens of variations. All religions go on faith alone, so really you can't be sure of anything. To say you are right and everyone else is wrong is just plain ignorant, and frankly insulting to other religions. As for me, I don't claim to have all of the answers, I feel there are parts of every religion that are right. Truth be told you know how I know we haven't got it right, because if we had we'd be united not divided. Religion is only hurting us. in the Middle East innocent people are dying everyday because of religion. In the past millions have died because someone thought that their God was THE God. Can't we just finally realize that the answers aren't out there and focus on this life. It sickens me that there are still homeless in my city, while people live in million dollar homes. We obviously can't rely on a God for salvation, and it's about time we started helping ourselves. YOU ARE ALL WRONG!

"Technically, I'm not wrong, because I believe the same as you. Unless, of course, you think you are wrong too. That would be just weird"
As far as my beliefs on say origin, life, death, etc. I am wrong, because I only have educated guesses, but at least I can admit it.

"READ THE BIBLE."
Read it, little to "R" rated for my liking, somewhere between the innocent killing of Egyptian babies, and the setting guidelines for slavery I knew the Bible wasn't the book I wanted to live my life on.

"we are wrong? how can you be sure?"
Who are "we" a little conceeded to think you represent "we." But if you mean Christian, maybe because Jesus said he'd answer ALL of our prayers, and I prayed for an end to humger and war, and we still have hunger and war. (Just for starters)

" So don't blame everything on people's beliefs, maybe instead of being part of the problem you should become part of the solution."
While I admit I do share a high level of apathy with most people, I do try to help, I do give change everytime I have some on me. I help people in need. However, I would like to make more of an effort to help this world. Not all of the problems are caused by people's beliefs I'll admit that, but intolerance has caused so many problems, don't believe me watch CNN for an hour.

"Yet there's times that we can't rely on ourselves. How can you explain that."
I can rely on others, but I can always rely on myself. Others have helped me, and my life wouldn't have as been as good if they hadn't, but I have always been able to rely on myself, and I'm sorry you can't.
I must say I couldn't rely on myself as much say when I was an infant, but you get what I'm saying, I've never need a God.

Catholism, Baptist, Mormons, J.W.'s etc. etc.
Everytime I show you haters why you're wrong, you think you'd realize it by now.
I'm trying to get society to move on from expecting a God to make things better, and get humanity to save itself before it's too late!

" "still homeless in your city" were they not there before?"
Yes they were there before hence "still."
"people who live in million dollar homes arent necessarily "homefull". they may be feeling homeless in the spirit, in the heart inthe mind."
I'd rather have a million dollar home, then faith and a cardboard box.
"apparently you are entitled to your expressions of frustrations, i hope there is a miracle coming for you, some how, no matter how small or large i hope you will know it when it happens..take care and calm down........"
Calming down is the problem, apathy is at all time highs, it's about time someone got angry that humanity just doesn't care anymore. And as for a miracle, I don't belive in hocus pocus, I beleive in positivity creates positivity. And I am positive we need to do something now.

I used to be just like the people you describe. I was told that what the preacher said at church was the whole and only truth. And I would argue tooth and nail in effort to get that into the head of almost anyone who questioned me on it.
Humanity, please accept my apology.
Being wiser now, I now know that one person or one book cannot have all of the answers to everything in life. I also take heart to the fact that there are things beyond our explanation. And to be honest, it makes life all the more fascinating and wonderous.

Yet there's times that we can't rely on ourselves. How can you explain that. You say that religion hurts people, I say it's ignorance. There are millions of people in the world that are ignorant to the problems out there and do nothing to help fix them. The problem does not lie solely in religion, it's usually those with a belief in God that are the one's trying to help the most. The problem is society. Society has an impact on the way people are and ignorance has become acceptable. So don't blame everything on people's beliefs, maybe instead of being part of the problem you should become part of the solution.

You make a great point about things. You know that it is stated in the bible "let those who have ears, hear!" Have you ever thought of something and opened up the bible and right there in your face, is exactly what you were thinking? Well, it has happened to me. No, not exactly an answer to what I was thinking but what had happened to someone in the Old Testament or such.

Dear TF, Your incorrect in your assertion.
Their are many different religions in the world, They dont al teach the same thing, rather they actually are contradictory, so it cant be said that they are all true, nor can it be said that each is a different and unique path to God. so, what about other religions as opposed to Christianity? wel, jesus said in John 14:6 "I am the way the truth and the life and no man cometh to the father except by me." therefore we see that any other way to get to God according to Jesus is falsehood and cannot be trusted. Christianity's truth and doctrin is based soley and firmly upon the word of God the Bible. in the BIble Jesus calims to be the only way to God, and since he perfomed many miracles before many eyewitnesses, raised the dead, and was crucified and ressurected again on the third day, we are forced to face head on, the reality of his words. No one else in History has ever measured up to Jesus, he is completely unique, so it really comes down to this, either Jesus is a Liar, a lunatic or Lord. it realy comes down to either Jesus's words are true or there false, either he was who he said he was or he wasnt. thats a choice you must make. either trust or reject his words. Secondly, if we cant be sure of anything, than you cant be sure that you cant be sure of anything. thats self defeating, on top of that, if you cant be sure of anything, then you cannot be sure that any of the religions aren true and that you arent Gambling your eternal salvation. what makes any religion more true than another? well, there really arent reallly any religions that are truer than another. Thier is a Huge difference between Salvation through Christ and religion. religion is mans futile efforts to find God, and to gain eternal life. Salvation through christ is God reaching down to man and revealing himself and granting everlasting life to those who will simply trust Him. God dosent want our religion, he demands Holiness, perfection in thought word and deed. if we have transgressed His law (ten Commandments) by lying, stealing, looking with lust, using Gods name in vain, He is angry, relgion will not help you nor will it help anyone else. God demands Justice and he sees right past the vain mantras and chants and prayers of those who are guilty and try to cover thier tracks with religious works. each one wil have thier part in the lake of fire. all Liars, thieves blasphemers and adulterers at heart will enherit the lake of fire, everlasting damnation. But the good news is God reached out to Man through jesus death and resurection on the cross, and God promises that all who will repent and trust in HIm will know the truth and be forgiven and granted everlasting life. again, this is a choice you have to make, But Know that there are consequences to every choice.
