I am doing research to see what MOS's are fast promoting and want to see the list, and any other info people can tell me about specific fast promoting mos's would be helpful, thank you.

I have served on active duty in the past and understand that selecting an MOS you want to do and like is important. Plus the needs of the service always comes first.

go to armystudyguide.com. The star MOSs are listed at the bottom of the list of cut-off scores they have posted on their site.

"Any MOS that is a "Star" today, may well because it is so "hot" fall from the skies and take you with it." SPC Reggie S. Patton

Never heard of "Reggie S. Patton" well he did not choose wisely!

Trust me: read the other remarks:

One "selects" an MOS or an Officer Branch first, only out of a "passion', a love of the role. If you are an 11-B Infantryman or a cook: select because it is what you want to do!

Passion will "win" you promotion over any scheme or plan.

Be assured NOT a dumb question, far from it.

I mean like if they started promoting medics fast like in Vietnam one would want to be a medic? No way: one is born to be a combat medic, a Ranger, etc.

90% of my medics made SP/5, E-5 in Vietnam if they lived the tour, but volunteer for that? One has to be really certain about the day-to-day role not a promotion.

Problem we had with many "OCS" wanted to be an "Officer",
even a 1542 (officer mos code 1965) Infantry: one has to want to be infantry first not an officer first.

A quote:

"Lead, follow or get out of my Way!"

you are lame, looking for a job that promotes fast, rather than looking for a job that interests you & is suited to your aptitude, which is where the asvab test comes in. if you dont score high enough in a required area, you may not be assigned a position in a 'fast promoting' field. off the cuff, i'd say you are best qualified to burn barrels of crap over in Iraq
