If he said that he was the Christ, I would not trust him. Jesus did already say that many would do that AND that we were not to listen to them.
However, our home has always been open, and used, for those who need food or shelter.
Matt 25:34-40
34 "Then the King will say to those on his right, 'Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. 35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.'
37 "Then the righteous will answer him, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?'
40 "The King will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.'

Actually this did happen to me. A dirty old man that was living under the railroad tracks came to my house one very rainy evening and asked if there was any work he could do for food. I had nothing. He was really creepy, but it seemed like he was trying to get a bite. I lived in a very modest house at the time (ie. 4 people in a 2 bedroom). I had 2 small children who I always have to think about first. I did not invite the man in, but it was pizza night, and so we gave him a few pieces of pizza and a couple of cokes. We gave him an old quilt and wished him well. He seemed glad for the help, and also a little embarrassed. I would never let some homeless guy into my house. My number one concern is to protect my children at all times. I think that if it was Jesus, He would understand this.

Call the cops. What's the Christ doing coming to my house late at night, anyway? It's really quite rude to just go to someone's house without being invited. I think the Christ would know that.
No matter who you are, you'd probably do the same thing.

Christ has come to my house. I let Him in. He stayed.
"Behold, I (Jesus) stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come into him, and will dine with him, and he with Me." (Revelation 3:20)
"And I (Jesus) will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper (Comforter;Paraclete), that He may be with you forever....I will not leave you as orphans, I will come to you....If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him, and make our dwelling place with him." (John 14:16,18,23)
I might add, He said "Whatever you do unto one of these, the least of My brethren, you have done to ME." (Matthew 25)

Christ was neither poor nor simple, but if he came to your house, everyone seeing him would be instantly blinded, just as Saul was, since he exist in unapproachable light.

Tell him I'm entertaining guests but my neighbor actually has leprosy and he should go knock on his door and help him out.
