what if i left friendship bread on the counter too many days?

i have this ten day amish friendship bread. well, with the busy holidays, i have not added anything like i was supposed to. but i've been mushing it as directed. it is supposed to ferment on the counter, i guess. is it still ok to use it?

It's probably fine. You just put it in the fridge to slow down the fermentation. Now you need to find another coupleof friends upon which you can bestow this stuff and still remain friends....
