so if this guy was giving a friendly hug to his girlie mate, then you wished it was you he was hugging or cuddling? or when u see him, u feel u wanna be with him and have this strong sense of connection and spark. He is single by the way and in my class at university for some yrs now. I need to be sure of myself coz i dont want to lead him in the wrong direction. He is the one who started it all giving me the looks all the time and he just can't keep staring. i automatically started liking him now and i cant get him out of my head. it hurts too bad.

well, find out. get wit him and see wut this 'thing' u feel takes u. and during that time, u will know for sure if its luv or lust.

Yes, it could be both ...but what I have found out is we all wish for and think about the things we desire but can't have the most...how often do you find yourself daydreaming about something you already have??? Not your vibrator...something else like that purse you wanted more than anything last christmas...do you still daydream about it or another puse that you want this year...
never mind I confused myself...
We all want what we can't have but if you have had it and still desire it it might be love the first is lust....

It depends what you are thinking about when you think of them. If you feel compelled just to do things for them, no matter how small, then it is love. If you feel compelled to have a kissathon it is lust. Chances are it is a bit of both, which is what you need for a relationship.

how long has it been going on? if it blows off in a week or two, it's lust. trust me, been there done that. if it hangs on like flaming oil on water, then it's love. love doesn't go away so easily.
if it's really hot and intense, it's probably lust. but it could also be a genuine crush. wait and see, or ask yourself how long you have felt this.
ps. it can also be both. but if it's both, it counts on the love side.

It's neither. It's obsession. You are obsessing about this guy and you have a strong attraction to him physically. Be careful. You don't know much about this guy other than you see him. That is not enough information to say if you truly love him. It's obvious though you find him attractive.

That all depends on what context you're constantly thinking of that person in. If it's just being with the person could be something there, if it's having sex with that person, it's probably just lust.

It depends on what kind of thoughts you have about this person! If you have having nasty, sexy, kinky thoughts than it's lust, but if it is just thought of you being with him and a lil bit of sex mixed in with that than it might be love!

Well it depends on how you are thinking of them.
If you are only thinking of f*cking them, then its definitely lust.
If you are just thinking about them & being near them & talking to them, it could be love or just infatuation.
It's hard to tell from the little info that you've given.
