I have never received it, nor plan to. My reasons are because there are so many different viral strains out there. A virus that is prevelant one year, may not necessarily be prevelant the next. It's basically a hit or miss type of situation, since the strain prevelant the year before, is what's used for the current year.

I've known this information for six years. The people who told me about this have known this much longer than I. If this is the first time you are discovering this about flu shots, nothing has been exaggerated with the information provided below. It's all documented and backed up by very prestigious people and over 70 years of compiled research.

FLU SHOT OR NOT?

If you or any loved ones are even remotely considering having the flu shot this year, then you need to check out the latest research video demonstration from Calgary University.

This should finally set the record straight for all who falsely believe that vaccination is a safe means of “preventative medicine.” To view this incredibly exclusive news release please go to: http://vs217.virtustate.com/mercury.wmv.

It’s less than 5 minutes, and free. After viewing, you will then have a visual understanding of how mercury vaccine poisoning is undoubtedly causing Alzheimer’s disease, Autism, mental retardation, sudden infant death syndrome, as well as other serious health concerns in our culture today. Childhood and adult vaccination is an unproven, ritualistic medical practice that actually cripples the natural Immune System By God, in addition to having devastating and sometimes deadly side effects.

The cultural popularity of immunization today can only be credited to the brilliant marketing strategies of the pharmaceutical companies, coupled with a fat side order of FEAR. Another well documented website worth visiting is:

I'm definitely for the flu shot. I work in clinic all day and see many patients that would have prevented a lot of frustration by getting the flu shot. Many people are worried that they will get the flu by getting the shot - but this is an unfortunate misunderstanding. The flu shot contains an emply virus capsule - which is unable to cause the flu itself. The body learns to get rid of this capsule along with the real flu virus when you come in contact with it.

Also, the flu vaccine is made up of the MOST prevelant flu strains that year. So you usually will be covered if you get the flu shot.

The only flu vaccine that can actually give you the flu is the kind that you inhale nasally. This vaccine actually contains an attenuated or weakened form of the Live virus. So it can actually cause the virus.

So I am for the flu shot and flu mist, but am hesitant to highly recommend the mist of nasal version.

For or against?
What an odd question. If you are asking if you take a flu shot or not, then no I don't. But it's because I am allergic to them.

I have no problems with the flu shot & I've been getting it every year for the past 4 years. Our employers pay for it & since I've never had a reaction, no harm in getting one. But it's not for everyone.

Against, everytime I get one I end up with a horrible flu. Worse then if I had just taken my chances and caught it the old fashioned way. I don't get them anymore. I wash my hands a lot in the winter, drink plenty of fluid, eat well and get plenty of sleep. I have made it through 3 years without coming down with anything.
