If any of you live on the west coast (of either Canada or the US) you'll have noticed we've been having some sketchy weather lately. For two months now, we've been battered by storm after storm bringing heavy rains and hurricane-like winds. In all the years I have lived on the west coast, never have I witnessed anything this crazy! And its not just the west coast thats suffering... All across the country and world it seems like there have been increasing reports of hurricanes, tornadoes, drought, hot weather, mild weather, etc... Is it just me or is global warming finally screwing us over, and why aren't we as humans doing anything to prevent it?!?!

Guess what, it's not up to our government to tell us how to live our lives. That one thing is up to us. In fact, that's one of our freedoms. Let's exercise our freedoms and change the way we live. How do you do this?
Go to your local hardware store and look for light bulbs that have a big star on them with ENERGY written on it. You can save about 200 pounds of carbon annually by using these.

well....i live in southern california, so we're experiencing a lot different wheather out here. Usually we're hitting highs in the 50-60's this time of year, and recently we've gotten highs in the 90's! And it's only January, we usually don't see hot weather until March or April (which when I say hot I mean HOT over 100's) and then it says the weather for this weekend we're gonna hit highs of 50's so....how is it we're going from one day having highs in the 90's two days later to have highs in the 50's?! Doesn't make sence, if you ask me I think it's earthquake wheather, and we're gonna have another big one like the Landers quake we had about 10 years back.

I'm in Minnesota, I like global warming..
And exactly how do you propose to change the weather?
I have an idea: Put a big pump were the ocean is warming and pump the deep (200 feet should do it) cold ocean water to the surface.
This should stop the El Nino and reduce the hurricanes in the gulf.
I was in California most of my life, Remember 1983 then again in 1998
I help clean up after the Stockton flood in 83.

I Live in the Pacific Northwest, and we too have been experiencing record amounts of rain and wind. The snowfall for the last 9 years or so has been less than average here, however.
I beleive its just our turn for some inclement weather, but I ain't complaining, its better than mass flooding, hurricanes, blizzards and tornadoes that some other parts of the country are having to deal with.

It is cold here today, in Ohio. (Poor OSU by the way)
A friend of mine reminded me about the weather we had in 1978, I was a young cus then. She said our weather was very mild just as it has been (and I don't think anyone heard of 'global warming' back then. )
Well in the midst of the mild weather we werre enjoying we were hit with the largest blizzard we had had in years and we still haven't had one like it since then. I say, wait until April and if we haven't been hit by a lot of snow or cold weather and then ask this question.

The weather going crazy because human creation and activities going crazy. The weather is even worst in some Asia countries.
In these decades, many big companies create what they call creation products, 100gb MP3, Phone with MP3, big TV, so on and so.. and so what, we are borrowing out too much from the environment, using too much Earth' resource. Create Global Warming and poison the Earth, eventually killing ourselves.
