I dont understand why religion is such a big thing now a days. If you want to talk about a religion because you are curious or whatever so what. Why do people jump all over you, and start thrashing religions and shoving their religions down others throats? I am so tired of hearing how great it is to be Christian. Yay thats great for them, but its not what I want so why shove it to me? Why cant people all just be quiet and if you dont know the damn answer then dont write a damn thing. This is called Yahoo answers, a place to get some help with a question. Not to be discriminated. No religion is perfect that is why there is so many. GROW UP

Oh no. Thats not what I meant sorry. Its ok to express yourself, but some people start going on and on about how their religion is the best and that. That is what makes me mad.

I asked a question about converting to Islam and someone gave a response that was sooo ignorant. He was cussing at me and putting the religion down. Is that fair? No I dont put down any religion. I dont agree with bashing other peoples religions, and I dont agree with saying that your religion is better than someone elses and everyone should convert to that religion. It may be how you feel, but you dont have to say that kind of crap to people.

I would never shove my religion down your throat. I just do not understand why it is so awful for me to express my religious beliefs when it is ok for others to express theirs. Not believing in the Christian faith is your choice but can't I be proud that I do?

for some, religion is a giant relief. they grab onto it and hold on because it's the one thing in their life that won't change. i agree with you, nothing should be forced, but the best thing to do is just listen and understand the deeper meaning of why. why try to make you understand?

Yes, if they need a god for support, that's ok but they don't need to outwardly show their weakness by inflicting it on the rest of us. Maybe they secretly wish that we all had the same reliance on some mythical support so that their disability to manage their lives on their own would not be so obvious

think of it this way if you go to a good restaurant you might tell other people about it and want them to go there. same thing happens in religion just on a bigger scale.
but that is a good point few bring up!!

Oh, sorry, I misunderstood you. now to answer your question correctly then I think that some people are just overly zealous in whatever they undertake, be it dating, marriage, religion, or whatever. Those are the people who respond to everything opposite their belief with anger and other negative emotions.
