It has never really been a problem until the other night when he slept over at a friends house. He couldnt get to sleep because he couldnt find a bed that wouldnt squeek. He eventually slept on the lounge. Can anyway give me genuine ideas on how to help him stop his rocking. He is getting very annoyed with himself. I want to be able to help him stop this. Please

Give him an idea of something else he could try instead. He will spend nights working on the new suggestion and will eventually wear himself out and go to sleep, and realize he didn't need the crutch after all. Look at it as a habit, for example some suck their thumbs, some bump their heads so on and so on. As he gets older he'll stop when or if he's good and ready. Don't give him a bad time about it.

I had the same problem as a child. Just let it be, he will grow out of it. From my studies into this it is a sign of the genius in him not yet being released.
