It's something like 22% with France and Belgium and Germany. The main countries of Europe and so I would guess the majority of that is UK (with Ireland and Scotland) is about 10-12%.

UK has done much to decrease this number even though it is small compared to the US which is 30%.

If only the US would sign the Kyoto Pact. At least do more about it.

By the way, 2012 is the practical last year that the Kyoto Pact will be affective. The majority of the science community predict that after 2012, not much more can be done and the point of no return has been reached. This is interesting becuase this has been known for a long time.

It's crack time, friends and Earthlings.

If the process of manufacturing an automobile results in CO2 emissions similar in magnitude to those released by the automobile over its lifetime, multiply that with the number of cars in UK, then divide by the total number of cars in the world.

This will solve one bit of the UK pollution equation in relation to the world.

Then move to the next stage- heating? Lighting?

I say dont bother with what UK as a country does- think about what you do?

How much do you personally pollute compared to your neighbour- if you can answer that, then you are on a home run- charity begins at home mate!

Go measure the amount of CO2 that u have there. CO2 is the main culprit . But someone has forgot to tell u the CO2 is not there or any way near what they calculate. Mother nature fixated this problem a few million years ago when she introduced plants. Plants take in CO2 and keep the C and give us back the O2. So the high levels of CO2 is nothing but hype. There never was a problem with CO2.
