because i heard about a alcoholic men who got very drunk, but ran out of drink, so staggered to the garage on the corner and tried to drink fuel..

petrol contains no alcohol so is no use to alcoholics, you will also die if you drink it in a sufficient quantity.

A guy was on the news 6 months back, he'd been banned from 14 garages for drinking petrol. They reckoned in his life time he'd drunk enough petrol to get a car around the world.

Ithink you could drink petrol but it would be an aquired taste I have memories of a guy doing just that and ran at 50miles an hour then stopped dead WHY? he'd run out of petrol.

I was a policeman in a Scottish City and petrol drinking amongst the worst alcoholics was endemic. The real risk was when they did it in flats, horrendous fire risk.

I doubt this would happen. Its the alcohol they need. Have heard of really bad ones trying meths but never petrol. Wouldn't that kill you?

Alcoholics usually prefer meths.
Apart from liver damage brain damage is likely also .....

Meths(methalated spirits0 is the preferred alco's drink. Petrol was dangerous when it had lead in it but unleaded is rotten with coke or tonic.

i herd bout some nutter a few years back that got an ASBO baning him from all the petrol stations in his area cuz he kept going there and drinking the unleaded, it sent him insain it was on the news. so yea i suppose they would

A bunch of medical students had their grad ball at a hotel I worked in and they were all swanning about drinking meths & lemonade.......classy.
