What happens if you convert to another religion? Are you hated by your God before? And does your new God hate you for turning your back on your original God?

My religion is United. I have not practised my religion for a very long time and I do not go to church anymore. I just couldnt understand anything and was getting very confused. I now want to switch to Islam, as this is the only religion I can be for my partner to marry me plus I have been doing some research and I agree with alot of their religion "laws". I would like any information possible. If you are looking to just be ignorant, then please do not answer. Thanks in advance.

I think that Our perception of god changes as we grow. The human mind has a need to organize and rationalize our thoughts.
If you change religions, in my mind, you are not changing gods just merely changing how you view that god.
You are only seeing a new side to the same object.

I don't thing he ever turns his back as long as you continue to love and positively change your environment.

1st. there is only one God. Every religion believes in a higher being be it God as Christians call him, Allah as Muslims call him, The Great Spirit of the Native Americans,or Jehovah as the Jehovah's Witnesses call him. In the Bible we are told that God has 1000's of names everything from the Creator to Omega etc. All referring to the same being...God.
2ND. If religion is confusing you, it is not the right one. God did not mean for religion to be confusing, he is the same throughout time, yesterday, today, tomorrow and forever. God wants us all to return to live with him when our physical life is over.
3rd. When this life is over, we will not be any denomination. We will all be God's children, not Catholic, Mormon,Jehovah Witness, Pentecostal, Methodist, or Baptist. Live the commandments, live a Christ like life, spread the word of God, and be the best person you can be. May you find peace on your quest and God bless you along the way.

First let me start by saying that there is only one God.And I think he would be a lot more angry if you worship false Gods other than him, than you try to seek the truth. It's good that you're considering Islam.Even if it is marriage that's your reason I hope it's not your only reason. If your serious about accepting Islam I would suggest that you tell your partner who I'm sure could help you.If not you could go to a masjid and speak to an Imam or knowledgeable person.Hope this helps!!!

That kind of depends. If you go from Christianity to Islam, I doubt there will be a problem since they are the same religion written in seperate languages. If you go to Wiccan, then yeah, I'm sure someone would have an opinion on that.

The only way to go is Christianity. Try Baptist. But the only way to get to Heaven is believing that Jesus Christ died for you and rose on the third day, so good luck. Even though your future wife would probably be exiled from her family, it would also be a wise choice for her to convert to Christianity or she would go to Hell and be separated from everyone for the rest of eternity and so would you if you convert to Islam. So the best and only choice would be to convert to Christianity. And God never turns His back to anybody, He will love you forever, it is you that turns your back to Him

I was Muslim, but found it to be completely inacurate and became a Christian.

Religions are not shoes... you don't just go and shop for one that looks good and feels good. (or one that helps you get chicks!)

It looks like you don't klnow much about the ONLY true God... The God of the Bible.

Peace to you.

You make a good point. If it is convenient to change religions say for a marriage or whatnot, then they really are only religious by convenience.
