Those same people put belief in things everyday, that they do not fully see, or understand, or know how it works. So, it is a little ironic they criticize. I think, based on what I have studied, that even outside the bible, we have things that lead us to believe, beyond a reasonable doubt, that there is a God. Once you study the bibles out there, only one god, and one bible comes out on top, as truth. It is not so hard to put faith in something, like this. It actually makes a lot more sense to do so.

Faith is basically believing something for which there is no evidence. If you believe faith is a virtue in and of itself then it really doesn't much matter what you believe then does it? I mean, if you are not going to use evidence and reason then what criteria would you use to choose? So if someone has faith in Astrology, or magic, or voodoo, or Zeus, or Thor, or Charles Manson, or giant talking rabbits for no good reason that makes him worthy of envy, right? Wow, just look at that guy's faith! He's really got it together!
It's like some birds who bond to the first thing they see when they hatch. If they pop out of the egg and see a hippopotamus they accept that they must also be a hippopotamus. No amount of evidence can then convince them that they are in fact a bird.
The same people who grow up in the U.S. and decide to put their faith in Christianity are the same type of sheepish, intellectually lazy people who would have put their faith in whatever BS was being pushed wherever they had been born.

How can you put your faith in God's hands? Isn't faith the very thing you need to believe in God in the first place? Faith comes from inside a human being. The only time I see weakness in Christians regarding faith is, for example, when they won't take responsibility for their own actions, and instead say well God must have wanted it that way. Or when people won't help themselves and expect God to change their lives for them. Believing in God does not erase personal responsibility or the fact that if you want to change your life it's up to you, not God.

Because the existence of God cannot be proven, unless one believes that Jesus or some other man or woman was actually God incarnate.
For people that don't believe, religion appears to be an affliction of the weak. The culture celebrates traits that are profoundly unspiritual -- greed, selfishness, cruelty, competition, dominance, pride, conniving dishonesty, etc.
To folks that are "with the program" in pursuit of status vis a vis those traits, religion appears to be a concrete sign of character weakness. An affliction of those that can't cut it in the real world, so they create a fantasy world in which the meek are the best.
For the record, I believe God visited Earth about 2,000 years ago, and taught us how to live. Unfortunately, we would have to give our culture an "F" when it comes to following His teachings.
It is worth remembering that, if one is Christian, God chose the Middle East twice to reveal His plan for man. So, the Middle East is clearly special in the eyes of God. We might show a bit more reluctance to bomb it, roll tanks over it, and kill its citizens.

Not all of them believe that Christians are weak. But some do because they're either arrogent or unaccepting, or just mean.
Some people feel comforted by the fact that they have faith, or hope. Others are more down to earth, self supporting.

Not all of us feel that way. I feel that Faith is individual and should be honored. It certainly is not a sign of weakness. Attacking the Faith or Beliefs of others is a sign of weakness and arrogance.

It's not because you put your "faith" in the hands of someone else. It is because you put your life as a whole in the hands of someone else. Since, according to us, there are not gods you are basically seperating yourself from your life and not taking responsibility for it you must be weak.

If they would put their faith in God instead of a book He did not write, I'd think them less weak.
Be that as it may, if I came here all the time and said I needed no reason, no proof, I just simply KNOW (because I read it in a book) that Dogs are the true children of God and that all humans were destined to Hell (I KNOW this it said so in my book) what would you think of me?

I think Christians are weak because they put their faith in God's hands and then wash their hands of the issue. Not really weak, just lazy. And that's not all Christians, just 99.9% of the ones I have met.

That's exactly why.
And in putting all faith in gods hands they refuse see anything but their own narrow views. This makes it very difficult for society and science to progress.
