I have a 6 month old cat. She is not declawed yet and she keeps scratching chunks of hair and skin out of her face. It's gotten pretty bad and she wont stop scratching at it. It's only on her face. Do you have any ideas of what it could be. I know its not fleas because its only effecting her head.

It sounds like she could have ear mites. They will shake their heads a lot and dig at their faces until they are in bad shape. You need to clean her ears out and put 2 drops of Frontline flea product in each ear . This will kill any ear mites.

Take her to the vet. She could have a tumor in her brain or something that causes headaches. It's driving her insane if she is taking chunks of her skin out too. Take her to the vet today.

I what way is this a philosophical topic of discussion? there's a cat that has come to stay in my condominium because I administration its food source. it isn't 'mine' because it isn't achieveable to posses yet another living ingredient. I reply how ever my body responds on the time. If my hand bats on the cat or I leap lower back and walk away honestly relies upon on what certainly occurs. Why might want to the cat pick to scratch my lower back? What might want to inspire it to objective this?

Take her to the vet because she might have a eye infection of skin infection. The only reason I can think of is that something is wrong with her face or eyes. Good luck!

their could be fleas or maybe she doesn't have feeling in her face{very rare most unlikely} but go to a vet and get her declawed fast.

Did you check her for fleas or ticks. Get her to a vet to be checked or use a flea comb to test her at home.

It could be cancer. My friends cat had stomach cancer and she ripped all the hair and skin off her belly in hopes of getting to the pain and stopping it.
