You are so silly . . . a regular cucumber is a fresh one, but a pickled cucumber is either a sweet pickle, a dill pickle, a sour pickle or a bread & butter pickle. Whichever it becomes when it gets pickled is up to the pickler's choice. Small cucumbers are usually sweet gherkins and the great big cucumbers get to be either giant sour pickles or giant dill pickles. Like a lot of other things in the world, size has nothing to do with it. A pickle is a pickle is a pickle (unless you chop it up and make pickle relish), but a cucumber is a cucumber unless it goes and gets itself pickled.

Both are green, long, taste good and they have seeds
Differences one is pickled, sometimes tastes like vinegar, is sour, spicy, hot and can even sometimes be salty.
Differences one is non sour, goes with everything, can help with bags under the eyes, and can be made into a cucumber sandwich.
