He should be fine. Keep an eye on him to make sure he doesn't have a blockage, the real issue with chicken bones. After a few days if he is fine you have nothing to worry about. Dogs do kill and eat birds in the wild, bones and all, so the real concern is a domestic pet having an internal blockage. A real hazard but not terribly common.

You could wait and see if he starts to act funny or take him to the vet and see what they say - The problem with bones is that they splinter and tear up there insides. The vet may be able to tell you how serious it is over the phone without charging a huge fee!

Smart question! In the future no chicken bones and rib bones of beef. I had a dog die from chicken bones. I wasn't aware the neighbor gave my dog chicken bones until it was to late. Call your Vet and ask them .With in three hours my dog died.

It depends on whether he's a big or small dog and if the bone is large or small, but generally it'll just pass through his system. There is a chance that the bone will not pass through his system, though, and it could end up slicing up his stomach/intestine/anus. If you love your friend at all please be concerned enough to take him to the vet immediately for observation until the bone passes through his system. GO NOW!

The bone may pass without any problem. I recommend watching him closely for the next couple of days to see if he shows any sign of discomfort, or has any behavioral changes such as not eating or drinking.
And try to keep chicken and pork bones away in the future.
Oh, and interestingly enough.. raw chicken bones aren't a problem for animals. It's the cooking process that makes them brittle and easy to splinter.

I would take him to the vet to make sure the bones did get broken down completely and that they're not tearing up your dog's insides.

One single chicken wing bone shouldn't cause a problem, especially if it was raw. Just watch him for vomiting, straining to poop, blood in stool, loss of appetite or any other abnormal behaviors. If you are worried despite all looking fine consult with your vet, they know your dog.

Take him to the vet sooner rather than later--if you wait and this becomes an emergency, especially on the weekend or in the middle of the night, you are going to have to pay big bucks!
