Long distance relationships are not for everyone but it depends on the people involved. It takes effort and compromise on both parts. It's about knowing who you are and what you want. If you're a person who requires a lot of time and attention, then a long-distance relationship probably won't work well for you; however, if you don't require a lot of attention and love to travel, a long distance relationship can be great! Of course, at some point one of you will have to move, but that's something you and your boyfriend/girlfriend have to discuss.
I hope this helps.

In this age of change and diversity, there is little place for a long distance relationship. Haven't you seen people calling each other 'unfaithful' and moving on ? There is hardly anyone trusting their own love. Relationships are nothing more than colorful bubbles these days. In such an environment, how can one hope to be able to manage a long distance relationship ?
I am not saying that would be impossible, but too difficult. After all, we need a relationship to be closer to someone. A long distance relationship, unless an inevitable one, is just one of those weird affairs we are hearing about.

It depends on the people. And you can't totally say long distances are gonna make people stray. I mean if that's the case than all military men stray. And I know that's not true. When my husband and I were dating he was in Chicago and I was in CT. Now we are happily married. So yes they work, but yes eventually someone has to take that step and meet for that human contact. You can only go so far in a non contact long distance relationship. I guess the question is are you ever gonna meet? And do you think you're one to compromise?

well long distance relationships are tough, but if both people are really up to it, and really want to make a commitment, it could work. you just have to call each other a lot, at least twice a week, cause you would be far away. also you might want to meet up sometimes, so you should make plans to see the person every once in a while. if both of you are making a commitment to it, it could work. real love always finds a way.

No. There has to be an end to the distance at some not too distant point in the future. So they can work for a few months, but after that, forget about it.

it really depends on the people involved in the relationship. of course you can make it work. all it takes is a little or a lot of effort. mostly just stay in touch and visit each other. it is important to keep the face to face contact otherwise you could forget about eachother and somehow screw up the relationship

Yeah they can move close to each other to make it work.
Usually when those long distance relationships fail it's due to a lack/fear of commitment by one or both parties involved.

No. Long distance relationships ever rarely work out unless you see them periodically. Someone is bound to slip because of the lack of human affection.

Tried it before. There's online passion and whatever and we talk for a long time but eventually we just run out of things to talk about. And the relationship ends.

No they don't work. As a guy, I be tempted to have a woman in closer proximity as well.
The solutions are to move or get a job with an airline.
