We had a Catholic wedding (Nuptial Mass), music, etc. My brother in law did our photos in black and white. The reception was at my parents house with family and a few friends. We had sandwich platters from the local grocery store and cake and went to Disneyland for our honeymoon and back to work on Monday. My husband was still in school and I had just started a new job the week before we got hitched.

The wonderful thing about weddings these days is that they can be anything you want them to be. I had a semi-formal wedding with only 40 guests. We did champagne right from the beginning, a 5 minute ceremony and a 5 hour party complete with cigar smoking.
You can do a justice of the peace. You can elope. You can get married by Elvis in Las Vegas. You can get married by a captain on a boat. You can get married with only your best friends as witnesses. The options are endless!

I feel the same way. I would have loved to have a destination wedding, but it means a lot to our families to be there. My fiancee and I are planning to get married at city hall in the fall of 2007 and then have dinner with about 20 people afterwards in a nearby restaurant.

Have a nice little intimate wedding/dinner reception at your house or at a friends house. Keep it to just immediate family and close friends. If you keep the venue small you can always use that as your excuse for the small number of guests. You can always have a larger reception at a later time if you choose.

First, nonetheless you opt for to get married, it'll be a marriage ceremony. Second, allow's no longer suppose in phrases of black and white, there may be plenty of grey flooring among a courthouse marriage ceremony and the conventional marriage ceremony. Find your grey flooring. By the best way, who says you are not able to have a photographer with a courthouse marriage ceremony? And who says you are not able to get a justice of the peace to marry you external for the identical rate, or any place of your option? Open your brain somewhat.
