You might want to check out something from one of the "Twenty-Four Italian Sings and Arias" books. There's one for medium low voice and one for medium high voice. These links have a list of the contents of each book and you can view a sample page of music:

These books aren't hard to find. I've even seen them at Barnes and Noble.

You don't have an alto range. Try somthing as a soprano.
