Some people just don't have experience with pets or don't like them for various reasons. These can range from childhood bad experiences, to basically fear of the unknown. Additionally, some people are neat freaks and do not approve of animals because of a perceived "dirtyness" to them.

i really can't give the correct answer to that. but it sound like the same peolpe who would say "it's only a dumb animal" if something were to happen to a pet. some would give their lives
for their pets. here in ohio
a local englewood family(husband ,wife &their 2 teenage girls) were walking thier dog along the dam. the dog went in the water, the wife followed to save the dog,the husband followed to save the wife. all while the daughters watched. they found the dog's body a few days later. last week they found the wife, they are still looking for the husband.

It's usually guys that say they hate animals. It's part of that foolish macho crap that if a guy likes a cute furry animal, he's afraid somebody will think he's less of a man. However, people usually just think he's an @$$hole. Why just yesterday I was chasing around the wife shouting, "FEED THE KITTY!"

I don't know. Also people think that you can only like one or the other. I like both. I also have rats which people think are disgusting and I think they are adorable and sweet. Some people are assholes, that's why. They don't like pet fur, ewwww. My perfect house is going to get messed up, ewwww.

I think that dogs and cats are great, but they do have their place. Some people think that they're gross because they are animals, and act as such. For example, they'll urinate and defacate in public areas, and some unneutered males will urine mark everything.

it takes a very kind heart to have a certain love for animals.. and those who dont like cats or dogs usually lack a strong companionship/commitment with people as well.

Some people just don't have the patience for them or don't like the smells. Some people just don't like having to take care of animals. Personally, I don't get it. I'm a huge animal lover!

Some people have germophobias when it comes to animals they think they'll catch something. Eveyone's taste in animals are different. Same as their opinions.

anyways, i dont know...i love some breeds and some i dont-i dont like hairless cats theyre always mean.
but mostly i love animals.
