I want to get a new car and trade in my current one. What documentation about the car should I Bring with me?

Depending on where you live, I'd say:
Registration (proof of ownership) and
Licence (ID and can legally drive new car)

Expect the trade-in people to do some form of checking, to see if you own the old car or still have a loan out against it. If there's still money owed on the old one, things start to get complicated.

just the title of ownership and current registration, also loan papers if there is a lien holder :)
