Bring our troops home from Iraq to guard the border. When they catch an illegal immigrant crossing the border, hand him a canteen, rifle and some ammo and ship him to Iraq .
Tell him if he wants to come to America then he must serve a tour in the military. Give him a soldier's pay while he's there and tax him on it.
After his tour, he will be allowed to become a citizen since he defended this country.
He will also be registered to be taxed and be a legal patriot. This option will probably deter illegal immigration and provide a solution for the troops in Iraq and the aliens trying to make a better life for themselves.
If they refuse to serve, ship them to Iraq anyway, without the canteen, rifle or ammo.
Problem solved.

I agree with you. That is how a great many LEGAL IMMIGRANTS "earn", let me repeat that "EARN" their citizenship to the US.
Anchor babies, well they need to go back to Mexico with their parents or becoming wards of the Government. We need to start cutting off the freebie's to illegals !

No I don't want any more weapons or military training given to illegal aliens.I also don't want someone defending this nation that doesn't have a vested interest in it.I want patriotic men and women that love and respect this nation and want to be in our all voluntary military . Besides the benefits given our brave solders after service should not be given to illegal aliens.As Dar said what of the older women and children? i know many illegals who not only want to fight in iraq but would be proud to defend our country but cant because the U.S. wont let them because they dont have citizenship....so no the problem cant and wont be solved that way and probably never will be...Americans have such a problem with illegals but yet wont do anything to help illegals maintain green cards more easily, what american will do and have done is make it harder and almost impossible for them but yet say they dont have a problem with them coming here as long as its legal and that americans really arent racist.....I say thats a load of bull ****! Not only are americans racist but they are also kinda greedy and are just not willing to share anything!! Im american and its sad I feel that way

well look at it this way, this is invulontary servitude, basically u r just forcing them into "slavery" which is not fair, did we complain when america was founded and we had people immigrating over here? we are the land of the free, really, the current standings are the best for illegal immigrants, anything else will just make it worse. example, making them learn english, they wont want too, they want to escape, they will. there is nothing we can do about it. let it be.

Given that illegals can't do anything right, I don't think that if you value the "mission" in Iraq, that you should trust illegals to do it. Have you ever seen a house built by illegal construction workers?
