My Son just turned 16 months. Now also he is not at all interested in chewing the food, he will directly swollow it. If regular food given,he will either take out the food from his mouth or gag. I have to blend the food for him to eat. Did somebody had the same problem. Any ideas how can I make him chew food.

I did not have this problem but one of my friends did.
She would make loud chewing noises while he was eating. Like CHOMP CHOMP CHOMP, and he eventually ended up mimicking her. This was a big issue for her, but I'm not sure how his table manners will be after this one.
Wish I was more help.
:o)

put something like weet-bix really crushed up into bowl add a little bit of warm water and bit of milk- stir. this should be a bit runny. scoop onto spoon.show the kid the food. you open your mouth get him to open his mouth, guide the food in you start munching action. put food in. because its runny at least he wont gag. keep trying this method.
