I chose to know both times with my 2 boys, I wanted to know there sex so that i could be prepared when they arrived. I wanted to have all there clothes and nursery set up for them. Although it did take the surprise away at the end. I am wanting to have a third child and i dont think next time I am going to learn the sex.
Pros: you can buy the right clothes, you can have a baby shower and know the sex, and you can chose the right name
Cons: You lose the excitement when you give birth, If you elect to not know what you are going to have then it gives you a reason to push harder in labor because you are so anxious.
Then you end up with more yellow clothes than blue fo r boy or pink for girls

with my first baby, i was too curious to not find out! everyone said it would ruin the surprise, but there are enough other surprises etc with having a baby! i found out i was having a girl, which was a surprise enough as i thought it was a boy... i don't regret finding out, it made the baby seem like a real person, a 'she' rather than an 'it'. i also could then buy clothes and also choose a name. i think it is up to the individual, but if you really want one or the other (boy or girl), then don't find out, cos you may spend the pregnancy disappointed, whereas if you find out when you give birth and it is the opposite to what you wanted you probably won't be disappointed once you are holding that little miracle in your arms. i think next time i will not find out just so i can experience both ways.

properly, i might watch for the toddler to be born till now i understand the gender. purely because of the fact it is often exciting to attend, yet once you opt to you're able to do this. however the components you will choose for the toddler, and to get a competent colour for the final suited gender. you could constantly see what gender it is first till now that's born. it is your call.

pros- you can be prepared (blue or pink)
cons- they could be wrong (have all boy things and deliver a girl)
I chose to find out so my 5 year old son would be prepared
