Recycling is usually accepted anywhere, but for sewing addicts, pill bottles are a lifesaver. Buttons, pins, notions of all types can fit into these, plus push-pins, paper clips, you name it. For any shelf that you may have, you can glue the tops to the bottom of the shelf, fill the bottoms with what you like, then screw on the bottoms to the tops. It saves on wasted space and is very efficient if you use a blank address label to name the contents. Have fun!

There are agencies that do use these. A lady asked for ours because she was giving them to an organization that goes into other countries and takes medicine for the poor. Unfortunately, she wasn't home when I called but if you will ask again later, I will try to have the answer. If not, try to find some missionary groups or other folks that travel to 3rd world countries.
