You can wear whatever you want- i'm sure there will be some people with dresses and some without. My cousin wore a full wedding dress. I would recommend getting a pretty dress from a department store. I'm sure you can find an inexpensive white one. You may even be able to wear it again! Otherwise hit up a $99 sale at David's Bridal and buy one off the rack. If you are on a REALLY tight budget, I've seen dresses at thrift stores. I don't know about renting a dress...

It's your wedding and you'll party how you want to!

I'm sure it'll be great if you have a dress like that... it /is/ your wedding after all and casual but classy dresses are totally appropriate. But I'm not sure where you could find such a dress but there's pleeenty of websites out there that'll be right for what you want.

Congratulations, by the way!

I've never heard of a place that lets you RENT wedding dresses. I think you are going to have to purchase one. I would wear a casual dress, something that you would wear to someone elses wedding is appropriate. Good luck

I think a casual style dress would be very appropriate. You should check out Davids bridal. They have a selection of dresses that are cute for 100$. One of my major keepsakes form my wedding is my dress. You may find that you would like to keep it. Good luck and remember your wedding day is all about you, so do what you like!

Sure, I got married in a casual dress at the beach, actually I bought a very pretty one at JC Pennys, that used for later events as well.

Your dress can't be longer than 12inches from the ground...to be acceptable.
The color can be white or cream, lilac or pink or the palest of green...or even very pale blue....silver/grey is also o.k..

Satin is not a good choice, and not too fancy...Only because it is a court house.!

A small little flower can be worn one the dress, and .except maybe a tiny bunch of flowers...to hold....NO bridesmaids.
A flower in your hair is also acceptable......It won't cost much to hire a dress, but keep it very simple. As I say it is a courthouse.

A suit in cream or white would be nice too.....all the very best for your future!

Yesterday someone was asking about Hawaiian Wedding dresses on lavahut.com.

I checked it out. The dresses were beautiful, even though informal. One was priced at $79!

Try www.jessicamcclintock.com for very nice semi-casual wedding dresses. I got a dress there for my 2nd wedding in New Orleans. Their prices are good, their styles are current.

Yes an informal dress would be fine. Check on www.ebay.com. You can get beautiful wedding dresses there at a price cheaper than a rental. Congrats!
