Our Daughter is Dyspraxic, and was diagnosed 10 years ago,the symptoms are;general lack of co-ordination,difficulty in doing up buttons & shoelaces, constantly tripping over thin air and bumping into things, difficulty using a knife, fork and writing apparatus, difficulty telling left from right, very poor sense of direction, poor spacial awareness, poor handwriting unless given enough time to concentrate very hard, poor hand-eye co-ordination,poor concentration,if given a list of tasks can only remember the last thing, uncomfortable in tight fitting or synthetic clothing, disliking certain combinations of textures of food (e.g; our daughter will not let food touch other foods on her plate, and dislikes certain foods not because of taste but because of texture). The list is very long but The Dyspraxia Foundation is very helpful.

As with anything it can be on a mild or high level. dyspraxia prev. known as clumsy child, although i dont think they use this term anymore, affects balance and motor skills. I suggest you contact the DORE PROGRAMME which have an outlet in Edinburgh, Scotland. My son has difficulty with fine motor skills and adhd and is currently on the programme (has been for 12 weeks now) and the results are getting better and better. Call them or look up their website. They are extremely helpful and it is a non invasive method. They deal with dyspraxia, adhd and dyslexia, which sometimes you find where one is present there may be another.
Wish you luck x
