I am an alternative medicinal therapist and you should not be taking the pill with no break as your lining in the womb must be shed at regular 28 day intervals. I would go back to the doctor if i were you that is not right. As for the St Johns wart I don't think that this would cause this. Please buy yourself a decent brand. The herbal remedies that you buy cheap do not always contain what is on the label and/or maybe mixed with another chemical or herb and this may have caused the problem. Get some from Holland and Barrett health shop, it is pure St Johns Wart. Trust me I am qualified in herbal medicine

It's St. John's Wort. There is evidence that some SSRI's can cause abnormal bleeding. I haven't heard about that with SJW, but if it acts like a typical SSRI, I don't see why not. Could be that combined with the high dose pill, etc. That has happened mainly with the SSRI's that exert the higher influence on serotonin. Not all brands have been shown to have that side effect. It was a fairly recent study, you should be able to find it online.

It is best to do some solid research before you start taking a supplement. St John's Wort does have some side effects of which you should be aware. There are two other medications that you may want to check out at the same time. One is 5-HTP and the other is Sam-E.

I also think St Johns Wort can stop the pill working. I took this few years ago and seem to remember by warned by herbal shop of this.

I would get to Docs and check it out with him about the bleeding definitely, plus you could end up pregnant.
