My friends are always saying I'd be a great actor, 'cuz I'm so dramatic. But I've never really acted before. I don't know. I'm interested in writing too, and I'm pretty good. I like to sing, although I don't think I'm really good, but my friends say I am. Maybe I should just be asking, how do I decide what to choose for a career!

It's actually not just me being dramatic, I do great voices, and I can make any expression you can think of.

Acting is alot more than being dramatic. It takes alot of time and and alot of practice, you have to be able to have people not be able to read your facial expressions, to be emotional when people tell you to be emotional, to laugh when they wan't you to. It's Hard work I am sure. I would try your acting in a theatre in school if you are in school try writing and try singing also try other things something else could end up being your career and you could end up being a funny story telling good natured person who likes to sing and be happy. Enjoy life and try it all.

Well, not saying you should follow this, (you really should do what you feel is best), but if I would give advice, I would say this: Instead of jumping into the career and hoping for the best, try out at your local theatre/bookclub/school, and do your best. That should give you an idea of what you should do, because their opinions will be worth something (being experienced in the matter). If you are too shy to do that, then simply audition for your friends and family, and gauge their opinions.
Now, if you know you are a good singer, actor, or writer, then I say you should get some experience by, again, participating locally. There are many areas for these types of things, because, trust me, there are many people like you. (i.e. People who do not know exactly how good they are).
Once this is done, then you can pick what you think you love the most, and leave the others as side interests. Not career choices, but things you do for fun. But hell, who says you can't do them all? Write professionally, and act on the side. Writing is a very long process, and takes months to do, so you can act or sing on the side in your theatre, or professionally.

It is really hard to say which to choose. A lot of actors do get roles singing in plays, so both of those talents will come in handy. I don't know your age, but you could take drama and voice and writing classes at your school or college. Journalism may be a good option too. Explore it all until you know what you like and then you will have a clearer understanding and idea of what you really want to do. If those do not become the big career goals, then you could still use your talents for hobbies or even to get extra money in part time work.

Just being dramatic isn't enough for a sucessful career. Don't confuse being a drama queen with being an actress. Try it all-- go act, go write, direct a play, do some stage sets, see what trips your trigger. Whatever you do, 90% of it will be the discipline of showing up on time and being professional. Good luck!

If you JUST be dramatic. It's not really a key to a successful career. You need alot of time and practice. :)
