Thats what having a puppy is all about. Aint it fun :). I had to do it for months and I am still catching up on my sleep. Try restricting her food and water intake just right before bed and take her out before bed time. I found out one time that if I get a towel put it in the dryer for a minute to warm up and put it in the crate the pup may sleep longer.

First off how old is she? If she is 7wks to 12 weeks she will have accidents in her crate. I have a 6 week old puppy and I put her in a crate at night and put paper in the crate and she uses that and in the morning I take her out side. Alot of the time they just get lonely and hollar and I ignore mine. Give her a toy and no food or water. Be sure you don'[t let her have any food within 2 hours of your bed time. Good luck and have patience. Also you can cover her crate with a blanket to muffle the sound. I have 5 dogs and have crate and house broke every one this way.

You didn't mention how old your puppy was..but remember that a puppy can only on average hold it's bladder/bowel for as many hours as it is months old. IE 2 months = 2 hour hold. If your pup is making a mess in the crate it either didn't get relived in time and/or the crate is too big for it alllowing it too much room thereby defeating the crate training. So recheck that your crate is then right size for your puppy right now, make sure you watch the clock, and remove water from pups' acces a few hours before bed.

You need to be consistent with your dog. Make sure after every nap, every feeding time, and drinking time, that she should go out. If she doesn't immediately go, give a minute, but then if she still doesn't go then bring her back to her crate immediately. Wait a minute or two and bring her back outside. Do not let her out of the crate to roam free until she potties outside.
Hope this helps some!

Takes awhile to house train a dog. My puppy does that still to this point, she dances in circles to go outside and pee/poop and she won't even eliminate; however, I still have to take her out regardless if she will eliminiate or not (she'll get an idea).

know when I got my puppy she eliminated in the crate for awhile and then she got to a point where she appeared to not eliminate in the create, but she did on her pillow or bed.

You just have to be constant and keep her on schedule. She'll form a schedule and eventually she'll learn how to hold her pee/poop for awhile. It takes up to 6 months to fully house train a dog. She'll also learn that it's not fun to eliminate and sleep in her mess in her crate and she'll eventually give into holding it unitl the next morning.

My dog finally understands the schedule (2 months later) and I stopped crate training her because it simply wasn't working, instead she sleeps with me. I find that we both sleep longer and when I wake up and she wakes up I immediately put on clothes and take her out. I also find that she doesn't eliminate on my bed (like she does on her pillow). I know many people don't recommend doing what I do; however it works for both of us. I @ times still put her in er crate to see how she will do alone and she does quite well (no whining except in the morning because se wants to go pee).

Good Luck

You are not potty training right. You have to stay with the dog until she has peed/pooped outside in her "spot" and make a big deal out of it.

That's a part of having a puppy- if you don't put up with it now, you'll not have a properly trained adult.

You do NOT want your dog eliminating in her crate- it is unnatural and not a good sign, you have to do the work and do it right by making sure she eliminates when you're with her so she can be rewarded and trained properly.

One problem is that her crate may be too large. She only needs enough room to turn around and lie down. If she has room to walk around in it, it is too big. Use something to take up the extra room. Once you've done this, she won't likely pee in her crate as she will have to lay in it and they don't like that.
Also, you didn't mention how old she was- if she's really young, you may just have to keep at it and tough it out.....

It only took me 2 days to potty train my then 11 weeks old german shepherd. What I did was, I schedule his meal time correctly, say 7.30am, 1.30pm and 7.30pm. After that, I don't give him any food or drinks. I make sure that I take him out before and after his meals, and just before his bed time (around 10.30-11pm). The first night was the worst. He yelped, screamed and kicked the crate all night and I couldn't sleep. But now, he sleeps and wake up the same time I do. It's rewarding when your dog is able to hold and not do it in his/her crate.

ps: Be consistent in taking her out for her lil business, say 15 mins before and after meal. You need to be patient with her because she may not go when you take her out, but after 1-2 mins after she's in the house, she'd want to. It's irritating, but it's all part of growing.

is your crate too big?? if it is big enough for her to pee on one side and sleep on the other,, it is too big.. make sure you feed her at the same time every day... i would feed her around 5 ish at night.. then take her out. if she doesn't eliminate she goes back in to her crate.. if she whines take her immediately out - if she doesn't eliminate - back in crate, if she does,, praise praise praise and then free time in house.. try to stay up as late as you can.. and the last thing you do before bed is take this pup outside. hopefully she will eliminate, if she doesn't - wait ..as long as you can.. put her in crate and go to bed... 3 month old pup should be able to make it from 10 - 5am good luck

Could be that you simply arent taking her out as much as she needs to be taken out. Simple as that. Dogs wont go inside their "dens" which they consider a crate to be, so for her to be going inside of their means that either she simply couldnt hold it anymore, or she has some sort of urinary infection
