Add a little cream, and then just put it in the blender it ...if you have a hand blender that is great.. it should come out nice and thick and creamy..
Question for you.. have you cooked the peas long enough, they should be cooked slowly til mush.. at which point you might need some liquid.. just try cooking them some more..

I use Potato Buds. Very sparingly at first and keep testing it. Sometimes my real potatoes don't mush up like I like them to.
