Use a scrubbing face wahs-like st.ives and that should help some. Then-boil some water and pour it into a bowl. cover your head with a towel and put your face where the steam will get it. stay like that for 5 minutes, or until the water cools down or you get uncomfortable. then, take a very, very blunt knife (one that you cant gut yourself with) and run it across the problem pores very firmly. try squeezing the skin too. then por some water and ice into another bowl and quickly dip your face in several times after you clean the pores. its what works to get rid of my blackheads and dirt in the pores. my skin is clear becase i do it once a month. try it or do as often as needed. if that doesnt work, see a dermatologist.

I would have her exfoliate every night. She could try St.Ives, they have an exfoliant for blackheads and blemishes.
Also after she does use the exfoliant and once she's out of the shower she should use a toner. That will balance out her PH levels on her face therefore minimizing oil and clogged pores.
Then moisturize. Even if she does have oily zones, she still needs to moisturize.
Also I've found that if you have a cool mist humidifier in the bedroom it helps with your facial problems.

Good Luck

also there is such a thing as an extractor. You can buy it at drug stores such as Rite-Aid or Longs. They're about $10 and the work very well. They get rid of the white nasty crap that's on the side of your nose that you can't normally get to unless you squeeze it out, which is bad.

When she is in the shower run her face/nose under the warm water several times. After she has done that tell her to take her fingernails and put them at the top of her nose (where her nose meets her forehead) and drag down with her nails. Do that over the complete nose and or clogged area. She should do it every time shes in the shower. It has worked great for me and is definitely less expensive.

Maybe she should see a dermatologist. I use pore strips for my nose.
