A university has courses of study that last 4 years for a bachelor's degree. they also offer master's and doctorates. most students live on campus, either in dorms or in apartments. Community colleges usually have 2 year courses for an associate's degree. the students don't live on campus, but commute to and from home. anyone may attend either school. I went to college with kids from all over. the person that wishes to attend needs to apply and provide whatever information the college/university requires.

The universities are the main campuses and the
community colleges are the satellite campuses
of the main campus or the university. If the
person is international and has the high school
diploma and probably an SAT test score and meets
all admission standards they could attend a
university or community college.

A neighborhood tuition is as recounted above, a stepping stone to greater and higher matters. Students opt for to do a couple of years at their regional neighborhood tuition given that they both desire to economize, earn a few extra credit for school sooner or later, or higher their fundamental competencies so they are able to be higher all set for a 4 12 months school in a couple of years. The majority of pupils switch to a school after 2 years or so at a CC. It's a lot inexpensive than a 4 12 months school considering that you pay via the category. Their is a campus however there aren't any dorms or housing or a meal plan. CC's are nice if you're in economic problems. You can nonetheless be getting a well schooling whilst you keep up cash for the longer term.

A community college is a two year school where you obtain an Associates degree. But many students go to community college because it is cheaper and then go to a four year college afterwords (the credits transfer and they save 1,000's of dollars.)
A University is a group of colleges. They are in and of themselves the same thing, only a University is the umbrella of all the colleges within.

Universities are 4 year colleges and you have to take SATs or ACTs to attend. Community colleges are for anyone really. They are only 2 years.

about 200,000 USD. Community College typically only offers sophomore and freshman level classes with an emphasis on two year programs and training in a trade skill.
Identify a school and find out what the requirements for that school. You would likely have to take an SAT at a minimum.
