my mp3 is frozen how do i turn it back on i know you gotta push power and hold the play/pause button but when?

HI, I have a mp3 player that I got from best buy and it don't work either. On mine you have to hold the menu button down and it turns on. So, I hold it down it turns on but won't play any music and I can't even look through the music or nothing. All it says is the name of the mp3 player. The light won't even turn on. So, I think you should take it to the store and they weill help you because that is what I am going to do.

You haven't told us what make and model it is.

Has it got a battery? If so, put a new one in. Just removing and replacing the battery can free things up.

If it's rechargeable, recharge the internal battery. They can behave oddly when the charge is low.

Sometimes they lock up for no apparent reason -- some have a reset button.

Some, believe it or not, have more than one power switch -- make sure the main power switch is on.

Have you tried connecting it to your computer and examining the content of the flash disk?

toggle the hold button on and off three times, then press and hold the two buttons together at the same time.

O ya, I think you press the select button (the one in the middle) and the play button at the same time.
