Usually signs for me is excessive questioning you and then telling you why you should or should not be doing that. Always having to explain yourself to her and answer for every little thing you say or do.
I think you are suspecting this so deal with it or move on....if they are controlling then they are like a controlling guy.....they are not going to change.

She won't let you tal kto people of the opposite sex even if you ar eonly friends with the person.
Whenerver you go out you have to be withe her.
She makes you do too many things for her.
Talks over you and always has to be right in an argument.

a person who is controlling is insecure - it may be something that is obvious or something that isn't. the truth is, if you feel you are being controlled by them - call them on it to find out what's going on. instead of wasting time on here talking to strangers, perhaps you should bring up the issue with the person you have a problem with. time is not something to waste.

She'll want to make most of the decisions, "take charge" in group situations...that kind of thing. People who like to be in control are fairly easy to spot.

Wants to know where you are at all times. Doesn't let you hang out but with anybody else but herself. Everything has to be her way; demanding! Then thet'll start throwing fits when itts not their way... get away! RED FLAG!!!
