haha i like your extra comebacks to some of the comments... good on you!!
anyway i dont think your girlfriend has the right to say 'its her or football' - unless you were completely obsessed and crazed and lived and breathed it and chose football over her every single day an never invited her to watch or play or meet your footy friends, then maybe she has a point. if this was such a problem for her i think she should have discussed it with you first before putting up the option for u to choose (not sure if she did you never mentioned).. if you had alreayd talked about it and tried working things out and still didnt work then maybe its not between 'her and football' maybe its proof that shes not the one u should be with. im sure when she started this relationship with you she would ahve known you played (or coached or were number 1 member of a club) football so it shouldtn come as a shock to her to see you loving spending time with the game. i think you did the right thing in helping her pack her bags as it shows you werent completely aggro with her for making the decision and were still tring to help. If u had of just left hre to pack her things herself she would be more bitter than she probabyl is now. she should realise what predicament she put you through and think to herself was it really all worth it.
good luck to you =)

sounds a bit of a stupid thing to say by the girlfriend. she cant expect her fella to stop watching it.
UNLESS u were watching it, talking about it, obsessed by it every second of the day and running your life around it, maybe u made her feel like she came 2nd to football. which is pretty sad if u did and i hope u enjoy your life forever alone with your tv.
who picks football over daily sex anyway? hmm

It wasnt nice but, i give you props man. Dont let those type of women into your life that need attention on them at all times. U should have only helped her if it would make the leave a lot faster.

Football comes first!
Why did you help her pack her bags? Don't respect girls with no respect towards football!

You were being nice by helping her pack her bags. I'm surprised there was time for that with this being BCS season and the NFL playoffs. Anyway, good move.

Me thinks you both need to assess where your elationship is going and if you decide you really do want to be together then compromises need to made - on both sides. My partner is footie mad, I hate it but it makes him happy and at least I can do my own thing whilst he's watching it. He took me to see his favourite club play and I actually enjoyed it!
