You can start now just keeping training sessions short and fun. Puppies do not have long attention spans so 3 to 5 minutes at a time maybe two to three times a day.

Puppy training (no physical discipline) should begin @ 7wks & continue until 12wks, then intensive training with the appropriate discipline employed. The best books for training that I have ever used were written by Richard A Wolters i.e. "Family Dog", "Gun Dog" & "Water Dog".

NOW!!!! Dogs do not need to be a certain age to start basic obediance training. They are like sponges right now.

Immediately. Start training the dog as soon as you get it! 8 weeks is prime learning age! Good luck!

As soon as possible. They need to be house trained and learn manners etc. Waiting until they were a year old would be a disaster!

Starting early is the best! Don't wait until they are a year. Definitely start soon, I think around 3 months is good.

The sooner the better the younger you start the less likely he/she is to have already developed bad habits or issues.
