is it my imagination or are people less and less visibly, physically close...it seems to be a rarer and rarer sight to see people in public holding hands ...linking arms...arms round shoulders or waists...touching an arm or hand...hair or face...you know the kind of thing i mean.........i dont solely apply this to lovers...it can apply to friends, parents and their children..anyone...i just think there is a noticeable absence of human contact now...what do you think?...;0)

I think the absence of human contact is due to technology. more and more people are accepting talking on cell phones and writing emails as a form of comunication instead of meeting for dinner, movies etc.... Before, people didn't have such luxuries to communicate in such a fashion that they actually visited their loved ones and friends......

i agree with you , to me the world has grown into a cold and self centered place everyone [ men & women ] mostly thinks of what the other can do for them , i always thought love was about what you can do and be for the other . the thought of your other half was the better half has long died years ago . i'm not saying everyone but to see less today then i remember of years past

well i fu are talking about bfs and gfs. then yeah, u don't see them making out in public. i'm guessing they kiss at home and stuff like that, cause u know, u would feel uncomfortable standing close to a couple who r kissing fo rhours.
about kids, i guess as u get older u want to be more independent and u want others to see uv grown up.

tescos has no engagement cards at all.
and as for the kids school and nursery's just started back so all the parents are more affectionate!...
its always easier when you have a break, especially after two weeks solid!

You are absolutely right, the era of the 1950`s,60`s seems to have died, we enjoyed ourselves in those days & were not afraid to show our feelings in public.
