What is your purpose for fasting. If it's diet, then don't do it. It's not healthy.. If spiritual... do what you must... Just talk to your doctor about it to make sure you are healthy enough to do it. God doesn't want you to die to prove faith.

When fasting, I would recommend that you at least drink watered-down juice 3x a day. The headaches are from lack of glucose in your system. You're probably irritable, too.

Make sure that you're fasting for the right reason (it's not recommended that you fast to loose weight--it doesn't work because your body will pack on body fat when you start eating again). And, only fast for a maximum of 7 days. When you start eating again, eat only a little bit 5-6 times a day.

While fasting make sure that you drink plenty of fluids otherwise your kidneys will start to shut down and they you'll be in trouble.

Whatever you do, don't think of pizzas. ;-)

I think you should try it. Maybe not for a long time, just long enough that you feel comfortable with and long enough that it makes you feel like God heard you. You could pray to help you with hunger. If you want, you could go on a fruit and vegetable fast. (you only eat fruits and vegetables). Drink lots of water. That will help you with hunger. If you do it for God, I don't think you will be too hungry!

I personally have never fasted. And you will probably be ungry no matter what during your fast. To prevent headaches I would be sure to stay hydrated through water, or herbal (no caffiene) teas.

The benefits are minimal. You shouldn't exert yourself at all til it's done for whatever amount of time you are doing it and you should drink water. I woulnd't recomment it.
