Cats all have very different personalities just like people so your best bet is to take your boyfriend to your local humane society or shelter to pick out his own cat. That way he can find one with a personality that suits him best.

You mentioned his other cat disappeared...let him know that cats should not be let outside. They are domesticated animals and they should only be kept indoors. Then you don't have to worry about them disappearing. Indoor cats live WAY longer than outdoor cats...it's too dangerous outside for them. On average, an indoor cat lives twelve years but some cats can live for as many as twenty years. In comparison, an outdoor cat’s life expectancy is less than five years.

You should take your boyfriend to the local animal shelter. Then he can pick the perfect kitten/cat that will fit him and is playful and stuff. You will be doing a good thing by adopting a kitten/cat from the animal shelter because there are lots of kitties there and they need a home. Good luck will the new kitty! Hope I helped.

Marry the man. He likes cats - what better qualification for a soul mate ! Yes, get him/you both another cat but please don't encourage the cat breeders by buying an overbred fancy puss. Go to your local cat haven. Bypass the kittens. Ask for "the cat that no one wants" , you know the sort - the scruffy one, the ear missing one, the one that will NEVER end up posing for the photo on a chocolate box. And I dare you to come home with only one cat !

real men love cats too!!!!!!! try your local animal shlter or human society. this can be better sometimes than the newspaper. a few of the people advertising in the papers don't go through the added expense of first shots and testing for feline leukemia. you can even take him with you as a surprise trip and let the cat/kitten pick him out. we took in a stray to our local shelter, i went into the kitten room (just to visit and socialize with the kittens) when i tried to leave i had 2 cling ons. one attached themself to my front jeans leg and one was on the calf. the staff got a good laugh at that one.

Go to your local animal shelter, where you can get one that desperately needs a home for much cheaper than you can anywhere else. They often even have kittens!

And black cats sadly need homes the most, so you'd be doing a great good deed for them.

As for expenses ask your Vet. as quickly as I worked at a Vet medical institution we consistently gave the photos first on a separate visit to make useful the puppy did no longer have a reaction. An allergic reaction to the photos might reason issues in the surgical operation. many times the 1st set of photos coated distemper and a dewormer (to get holiday of ring worms all kitten have this from the milk from their mommy) Then on a separate visit they might get a 2d distemper their rabies and pussycat leukemia shot (I propose this shot in the experience that your kitty is going to be outdoors by potential of himself in any respect ever, if no longer and indoor purely you purely want it as quickly as yet you are able to desire to get him examined first its inexpensive many times between $10-15 relies upon on the vet) 4-6 months old is the ordinary age for spay/neuter. If JJ is a male it rather is going to likely be extra no longer expensive than if its a girl. they could positioned the chip in previously ,in the time of or after the surgical operation. It merely is going in the vast needle & get positioned into the scruff of his neck like a shot. No soreness all the situations i've got considered it completed the cat/canine not at all even flinched. detect a good respected vet and that they provide you extra information and expenses. good success with your new addition on your loved ones. they are astounding!

you should go up to the animal shelter and see if they have any cute kitties. you probably shouldn't get a black cat because it will remind him of his old one. there are always kitties at the animal shelters that need a home:)

I agree with laceybug. Take your b/f to the shelter and let him and the kitten pick each other out.
