It is nice to see realistic targets in here and yes i think you can achieve it too, i really need to lose 5 stone as well, I have heard that you should give yourself targets with an award for yourself when you attain each target just to help you get thru the hard times.
I wish you all the very best

Yes it is, but I' concerned over how little your eating now! This is not enough from what you would have previously consumed in a day, and utlimately your body will think that your starving yourself in comparrison and will lower your metabolic rate so that you dont burn off what you do eat. In this scenario The only way you could shift the weight would be extreme exercise too.
You can follow a simple healthy plan and still loose considerably. I had previously lost over 5 stone with weight watchers and 2 stone before that. I shifted the 5 stone in 9 months, but eat more than what your feeding your body now. The only thing I found with weightwatchers was re-introducing what people call 'normal' foods once I got to target (such as; I was using skimmed milk whist at weight watchers and wanted to go back to semi. I used nimble bread when I wanted bread, but would like to use normal again now. To have the odd chocolate bar without thinking, God how many points is this?) So am now doing the following;
Breaky;
Bowl of bran - based cereal and a piece of fruit.
Lunch;
Apple, bannana, & satsuma ( or a lightly filled sandwich in place of one fruit)
Dinner;
What everyone else has, not cooked differently! Normally with a mix of 3 veg.
6 glasses of plain water a day, 2 glasses of squash a day, 5 teas/coffees, using sweetners. about 1 1/2 hours walking a day (to and from work and walking the dog)
I tend not to have a treat everyday, but once a week or so. I lost 5 lb last week, that was more than what I lost in my first week at weight watchers! So its working. I started on the 01.01.07 and feel healthy on the inside, and clothes feel baggy already. I'm no longer bloated either.
I have joined a 360 group called weightloss bloggers with a few others and the link below will take you to the administrators page. We all put in at least one entry a week about weightloss and targets or aims. You may find help, advice and support. If you wish to join the group, send a message to the administrator, Im sure they'd be happy to let you in!

I am not a dietician but I would say that may be possible.
Although why not just do it 6 months at a time - if you lost 2-4 lb a month would that be a good idea too - that way you are not losing too much too quickly and thus avoiding any sagging flesh and also allows you some flexibility in weight loss.
Yes exercise will definitely help you, and you may find as you begin to lose some lbs you don't mind so much walking.
Taking stairs instead of lifts is a good idea to tone and to help with weight loss.
Possibly you will have to learn more about low GI and nutritious satisfying foods - books in the library may be useful.
What about line dancing or just doing your own thing re exercise at home, to music of your choice.
Good luck Good Health and here's to a slimmer you.

It depends on how fat you are but my recent efforts may be of interest. I have lost a stone and a half in two months, so your 5 stone in 18 months is realistic so long as you have it to lose.
I've done it by cutting down on fatty food & carbohydrates. Your diet sounds about right, but I still have the occasional treat. The secret is excercise! I walk at least 8 miles a day. If I didn't I'd need to eat next to nothing! As to "get fit videos", I agree, forget it!

If you lose a pound a week you'd easily lose 5 stone in 18 months. You might be better off joining a group like Weightwatchers or Slimming World though so that you get a more varied diet. Unfortunately exercise is important too (I'm dreadful about getting exercise too, so I understand how you fee). Take the little one for a walk round the park and run around a bit with him/her or if still in a buggy take the buggy for a brisk 20 min walk every day.

that's obtainable and your approach of reducing out junk is a competent one. yet do you opt to be healthful purely for a month? What if it take 6 weeks to lose 10 pounds? Do you provide up after 4 weeks? You sound such as you have an activity in relatively being healthful and vegetarians are most of the healthiest human beings around - decrease costs of all ailments. yet being vegetarian does no longer advise purely ingesting culmination and greens. you could exchange into heavily ill in case you don't get sufficient protein. you ought to integrate grains with legumes (kidney beans, lentils, chick peas, and so on. ) to get your finished supplement of amino acids that make up an entire protein. you will additionally ought to take diet B12 while you're no longer ingesting any eggs or dairy or danger severe neurological damege. consult from a nutritionist or purchase a e book on a thank you to alter into vegetarian precise, otherwise your weight-help plan would be so unsatisfying which you will no longer persist with it.
