Maybe. Maybe not. Perhaps the only people who should AVOID marijuana are minors and/or people with mental illnesses. Otherwise, it's safer than beer, cigarettes, perhaps even coffee. But don't just take my word on that. Use the links below to read what others are saying.

One caution, however: the most dangerous thing about marijuana is that in repressive countries, using marijuana can result in you having your front door kicked in late at night, having your property seized, your pets and loved ones murdered in front of you, and finally, in you yourself being shot. And, if you don't get killed, they can lock you up for a long time and pretty much ruin your life.

Dude, common sense. Marijuana is grown by mother nature herself. No processes to go through. Used to help a VARIETY of different illnesses. No other drug can claim that title. "OMG a glass of wine is good for the heart." Bullshit. Reversterol, which is AMAZING to heart health, can be found in super berries such as the acai berry and in higher doses. Won't be detrimental coupled with the alcohol in wine. Ha, just an excuse to say some sort of liquor is healthy for you. Marijuana may be mentally addictive, and if you're that far you'll either be very positive or very negative from all the smoking in your actions. My buddy is mentally addicted, holds a 3.5 GPA at a major university (Wyoming) and is smart as hell. I was mentally addicted, did nothing but smoked pot every day all day, wrote songs on the guitar, and didn't progress much in life. One would call me a "stalemate". There's the positive and negative of smoking so much. No matter what the government tries to push on you, no matter what other people with their askewed morals try telling you, marijuana is the SAFEST and LEAST HARMFUL drug out there. No lies, no bullshit.

Definitly. It helps with so many little things you wouldn't believe. I use to smoke recreationally until I realized how beneficial it was.

My doctor agreed to let me use it for my anxiety instead of dangerous tranquilizers, so I started use daily, and since then, I've slept better, I focus in my college classes easier (I get straight A's now) and I can run without a side cramp for the first time in my life. I read that was due to it enlarging the bronchial tubes. It's actually undergoing many studies for treatment of Asthma!

I haven't had any negative side effects. I'm a singer and my voice quality is just as good and I don't have any trouble singing long notes. I'm in great shape from all that running.
And several studies released last year show it kills cancerous cells while leaving healthy cells intact. It really seems to be a wonder drug.

The only real danger is lung cancer from smoking it, however if they can come up with alternative ways to deliver it, then mary jane would be a fairly nice way to end a day.

I just quit a long time habit-I'd stay away from it. The best way to go through life and to be fully available to yourself and others is to not smoke it. It isn't cool, it isn;t productive, and it is illegal. The cool thing to do is to be sober. Trust me-life is too short to be stoned all the time. If you look at a bong that is what your lungs look like. Humans were not meant to smoke to anything-God gave you all you need to be happy-sobriety!

For the conditions that help it, yes. But just for recreational use, no.

If you have glaucoma, then the pain is so bad that the marijuana is really the only thing that helps.

Not in my opinion. I've seen too many people who used the stuff so much that they became stoners who never moved forward in life.

Not for me, thank you!
