I am Catholic and it is the oldest religion of today. Catholicism is over 2000 years old. People started breaking off into different religions off the Catholic Church only because they didn't want to follow the beliefs and the rituals of the Catholic faith. There for you have Christians. IMO nobody is a Saint. No religion is better than another. we all have the choice to believe what we want to....it isn't right to be a Christian and talk nonsense about other religions in any regard. I believe Christians are led astray with to much evangelism. I do agree with what you say to an extent.

False. Christians who have not followed God and have hurt the christian faith are struggling to repair the damage they have caused to God's reputation.
It is so important to remember that when you are talking about "Christianity" you should be only referring to those who profess a belief in Jesus Christ as the actual Son of God. Born of a virgin, killed, and risen from the dead.
Unfortunately, there are so many different theologies and denominations and cults, etc...that take on the name "Christian" and abuse the name of God becasue they do not follow Him in a way that would offer the world an accurate picture of who He really is. Therefore, people like yourself, who are focused on other people's action to define who God is in your life, in your case (as an athiest) He is nothing, miss the chance to experience a relationship with Him. This is sad because people screw up...God does not. People tarnish reputations...God is pure and Holy. People hurt eachother in Gods name...God mourns hatred and judgment among His people.
So is "Christianity" struggling. I would say no. However, people, who are sinful by nature, who profess to be Chirstians are.
I am sorry that you have been given a poor definition, a poor ideaology of who Jesus Christ really is. I am a Christian. I love God and I believe that Jesus Christ is the son of God. I am not Catholic. I do not believe in confessing to a priest, I have never been to mass, and I do not believe in praying to saints or worshipping idols made of granite or marble statues.
I do believe that there is a God and that the Bible, not other men, has all the information that I will ever need to know about Him.
In your quiet moments, black athiest, ask God to reveal himself to you. He promises to if you are sincerely searching for Him. It will be the best thing you will ever do, because He loves you more than anyone else ever will.
Thank you for you r thoughts. They are very timely in our world of confused souls and resentful religions.

Few words, You are misinformed.
First, Religion is traditional, man-made concepts of who God is and not the truth and it is man's false beliefs and teachings regarding God and His relationship with mankind; appears as truth, but is the broad way which leads unto destruction.
Second, Scholars agree that the name "Christian" was given to the followers of Christ. What about followers of Mary? They are called Catholics.
And last, True Christianity don't use graven images, pray the rosary, No Pope, Bishops and No Priest, We don't worship mary, dead saints or relics, No Purgatory, We don't buy indulgence, etc.
All true Christians have heard God’s voice. All Christians are priests.
"Jesus has made us to be a kingdom, priests to His God and Father to Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen." Revelation 1:6

Whether or not Christianity has a bad reputation isnt going to change my faith. I know what the Bible says and I know what the Lord has spoken to me. I dont like that others may do horrible things in the name of Christianity, but thats on their heads, not mine. My faith has never caused me to do anything bad. If I have done wrong, its my own doing, and has nothing to do with the teachings of the Bible. Believing Christianity is bad because some Christians do bad things, is not unlike believing being black is bad because some blacks do bad things.

It's okay Black Atheist. Has God come to you for some reason? Is that why you're trying to get everyone's attention? Were you abused as a child? Do you see or hear things? If you answered no to any of these please get your tail off of this computer and do something productive with your life. Do you honestly think you're accomplishing anything? I can't stand you people!

I think it's worse than that. I think people are beginning not to care. They don't care whether they have a bad reputation or not. I think that's an even worse problem.

True. All true.
The irony may be that while the US as a "Christian nation" goes about acting superior (while blowing up countries), they seem to think it makes them better than those "Muslim nations" who are apparently led by religious fanatics who go around killing innocent people - unlike the US of course.
